Dilated Eye Examination

Your eyes will receive drops to facilitate dilation, a process taking approximately 10 to 15 minutes. Once dilated, we'll proceed with digital retinal photography and employ specialized magnifying lenses to meticulously examine your retina for indications of damage or other ocular issues, such as diabetic retinopathy or age-related macular degeneration. Following the examination, you may experience temporary blurriness in close-up vision and heightened sensitivity to bright light for several hours. Rest assured, we'll supply sunglasses for your comfort. While we strongly recommend regular dilated retinal evaluations for optimal eye health, we understand if it's not convenient during your visit. Feel free to reschedule this procedure for a later date, at no extra cost.
